Ajmer is a small district in Rajasthan. Ajmer is famous for pilgrimage sites for Hindus as well as Muslims. Ajmer is surrounded by Aravalli Mountains. This heritage city is flooded with devotees of all the religions who come to worship Sufi saint, Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. No trip to Ajmer is complete without a visit to Dargah Sharif. How to reach:

By Air:
Sangar airport is the nearest airport to Ajmer which is, about 135 km. from the city. Another airport is Kishangarh Airport, but it will commence operations in October 2016. Sangar airport connects Ajmer to all major cities like- Delhi, Mumbai, Banglore, Chennai by daily flights. One can reach airport by cab.

By Rail:
Ajmer Junction railway station is well connected with major Indian cities like Delhi, Jaipur Mumbai, Allahabad, Kolkata and Lucknow.

By Road:
One can reach Ajmer via road also. Many national highways connect Ajmer with nearby cities like Delhi, Jaipur,Jaisalmer etc. One can take the deluxe and semi-deluxe buses operated by the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation or can book a cab to Ajmer. Many tour operators also operate on these routes.

Best time to visit:
Winter season is best time to visit this city. In October to February temperature ranges between 15 to 18 degree Celsius. This is ideal time for sightseeing in Ajmer.

Ajmer offers you variety of hotels from one to five star hotels. In Ajmer you can find cheap, luxury all type of hotels and resort. All the hotels have online booking facility.
